A BOYCOTT, DIVESTMENT AND SANCTIONS (BDS) REPORT FOR HUMBOLDT UNIVERSITY OF BERLIN - Academic complicity in Israeli occupation, Apartheid and Genocide (July 2026)
This report was written by Decolonise HU and the PalestineSolidarityPlatform. It provides an overview of existing cooperations between Humboldt University of Berlin (HU) and Israeli universities (chapter 2). Subsequently, each university to which HU has active ties is analysed in regard to the following dimensions of complicity in the crimes of genocide and apartheid as well as the illegal occupation of Palestinian territory: military cooperation, settlement activities, discrimination of Palestinian students and ideological justification of violations of international law and human rights (chapter 3). Chapter 4 focuses on the planned integration of Israel Aerospace Industries into Adlershof‘s technology park, announced on the 11th of June 2026, which has the potential to affect HU‘s research and collaboration with the military industry. The report provides evidence of systematic entanglement between Israeli academic institutions in occupation, apartheid, and genocide. This substantiates the call for accountability and action to restore justice.

Dieser Bericht wurde von Decolonise HU und PalestineSolidarityPlatform erstellt. Der Bericht gibt einen Überblick über die derzeitige Zusammenarbeit zwischen der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HU) und israelischen Universitäten (Kapitel 2). Anschließend werden die einzelnen Universitäten, zu denen die HU aktive Beziehungen unterhält, im Hinblick auf folgende Dimension der Komplizität analysiert, Mitschuld an Völkermord und Apartheid sowie der illegalen Besetzung palästinensischen Gebiets: militärische Zusammenarbeit, Siedlungsbau, Diskriminierung palästinensischer Studierender und die ideologische Rechtfertigung von Verstößen gegen das Völkerrecht und die Menschenrechte (Kapitel 3). Kapitel 4 konzentriert sich auf die am 11. Juni 2026 angekündigte geplante Integration von Israel Aerospace Industries in den Technologiepark Adlershof, die sich auf die Forschung der HU und deren Zusammenarbeit mit dem militärisch-industriellen Komplex auswirken könnte. Der Bericht legt Belege für die systematische Verwicklung israelischer akademischer Einrichtungen in Besatzung, Apartheid und Völkermord vor. Er unterstützt die Forderung nach Rechenschaftspflicht und nach Ergreifung der notwendigen Maßnahmen zur Wiederherstellung der Gerechtigkeit.
